Total Hours: 19

This month has been a busy month for volunteering for me. During the Mardi Gras break, I travelled over to Texas to see my girlfriend. With her, I completed some volunteering hours. For 5 hours on a random Saturday we decided to volunteer at Pet Circle, which is a no-kill dog shelter. We also decided to take a dog out on a "bark-break." We took out Allen, who had been at the shelter for over 6 months and we decided to go for a pup cup and other fun activities! It was a way to have a little bit of therapy as well as helping a dog with his kennel and giving him a good day.

Along with this, my girlfriend is also the president for the psychology club at our undergraduate college and she was holding an volunteer event to write letters and cards for Cards for Kidz. I decided to show up to show my support for her organization as well as write some cards for the kids. We spent 3 hours setting up the event and writing the cards along with interacting and mingling with some interesting individuals. Along with this, I did my usual 4 hours tutoring the refugee kids who are in high school. Me and Naasif also volunteered at ReStore for Habitat for Humanity which was fun as we got to help with inventory at a furniture store. It was nice to help the elderly manager with her stock.

One of my many cards, this was not a good start.

This month for school has been very interesting. It was has quite interesting to learn about psychopharmacology. We are getting close to the end of the semester and it is starting to get stressful for the final but I am excited to do these volunteering events for a good cause.
