November Volunteering Hours: 6 Hours

Total Hours: 14 Hours

This month was quite an eventful month for me. I was invited to an event which was held for some of the children who I have been tutoring through the Vibha community, as I have been talking about in my past few months. As a token of appreciation, I was able to speak to the wider public about the values and mission of the volunteering tutoring we provide. I did this event alongside my normal tutoring and it was truly fulfilling meeting the children that I have been tutoring in real life. It was also a true learning experience as I was able to showcase my vocational and advocacy skills to the public too in front of a large crowd. As for the rest of my hours, I was still able to complete my normal tutoring hours weekly, for the month. For my future plans, I am still planning on volunteering in the children's hospital but as I have had quite a busy month, I am planning on starting in December as I would like to dedicate more time towards it.

Another reason, my month has been so eventful is because of the Master's course. It has been a very interesting month of learning. We began the month with the cardiovascular exams and I love the entire cardiovascular system and all the pharmacology linked to it. After the cardiovascular exam we moved onto the renal module which was also interesting. I have never been able to learn about the renal module in such an in-depth way. This allowed me to learn a lot more about the renal system and I particularly enjoyed learning about the diuretics which act on different parts of the kidney. Towards the end of the month, we began the GI/Neoplasia module which includes learning about cancer. It has been a fascinating module so far, especially learning about cancer which has been a big focus in the research world.

Overall, this month and semester has been quite fulfilling and I am excited to begin the final semester of the master's program and to learn more about pharmacology and be able to use what I have learnt in the real world!
